Germany with the utmost care and attention to detail.
The team combines their creativity and master craftsmanship to produce the finest violins, violas and cellos available anywhere.
In 2012, after years of study and experimentation, we developed two new families of performance instruments to meet the needs of today’s performers:
- The WORKSHOP INSPIRED SERIES
Monza & LeMans models.
- The X-SERIES HARMONIZED ACOUSTICALLY
BALANCED X-5 & X-7 models.
Our workshop is located in Bubenreuth, the heart of Bavarian violin making and is a consortium of approximately 6-8 makers of fine string instruments blending the art of 300-year old German traditional making with the science of today’s innovative acoustical engineering techniques. Today, we are the only maker of bowed instruments with the knowledge and technology to harmonically balance all important components of the instrument. You will feel and hear the difference immediately!
In 2004, we were awarded the prestigious German Musical Instrument Grand Prize for the finest classical musical instrument.
Since then, we have continued
to advance the art & science
of acoustically balanced
Our instruments are made without compromise according to Germany’s 300-year-old traditional making techniques along with modern day innovative processes. We pay attention to all the little, but extremely important details. As a result, we make modern instruments that are true to history’s greatest achievements — available at an affordable price. Regardless if you are a progressing student, advanced player, or performing artist, there is a Heinrich Gill instrument that will motivate you to a rewarding and enriching musical life.
On behalf of the Heinrich Gill team of makers, we wish you an exciting and fulfilling musical adventure!
Very truly yours,
Heinrich Gill GmbH
